Nagel Jewish Academy

Nagel Jewish Academy (NJA) is an after-school Hebrew program four days a week for Jewish children ages 5 to 13 who do not currently attend a Jewish day school. NJA is almost free of charge and all Jewish children are welcome regardless of the level of observance or background. Our teaching staff caters to each student’s individual needs and abilities ensuring that each child receives a quality Jewish education. At NJA, the joys, values, and traditions of Judaism are brought to life!

Culinary Kids Academy

A cutting edge, growing company based in Los Angeles that uses cooking as an experiential tool to teach both secular academic disciplines (math, science, history) and Judaic Study. Students range from Pre-K through adults. Additionally, the company boasts a Hillel division where we conduct workshops at college campuses across the country as well as a Special Needs division (CKA's Friends Community) that bring the curriculum to the Special Needs community. They also have a national presence through the summer camp programs.

Camp JCA Shalom Special Needs Inclusion Program

Camp JCA Shalom offers programs for children with special needs entering grades 2-6. Campers may have an extra full-time counselor in the cabin, provided by camp, or parents may send child with a personal aide, if desired. Campers with special needs may attend any session with availability, although some may be better than others. We are partnering with HaMercaz to offer scholarships to campers with severe disabilities.

The Jewish Outreach and Education project

The Jewish Outreach and Education Project
The Jewish Federation of Los Angeles supported a pilot project that brought our films and customized study guide into Jewish day schools, religious schools, summer camps and other organizations that provide programming for Jewish youth. We oriented teachers, administrators and other educators on the latest issues facing transgender and gender expansive youth, and trained them on how to use our resources in the classroom to create inclusive communities, all seen through the lens of Jewish values and teachings.
