Before Disney came Camp Keewaydin, Vermont’s fabled camp where Michael Eisner absorbed life lessons as a camper and then a counselor. In this nostalgic evening, Eisner discusses anecdotes from his book Camp: Life, Leadership, and Why You Never Stop Paddling—celebrating its twentieth anniversary re-release, updated and expanded, with a new introduction by John McPhee—and stories from his life in the upper echelons of American business that illustrate the camp’s continued influence.

Pack your bags and explore inherited and imagined memories of vacations in the Catskills where Jewish families experienced a safe and welcoming place to enjoy time together. LA-based artist Marisa J. Futernick looks into her mother’s and grandmother’s summer vacations in this playful, loving, and meditative body of contemporary artworks, provoking questions about leisure, loss, and what it means to live in diaspora.

This interactive film workshop offers students the opportunity to speak with Holocaust survivors and learn from mentors to explore the conversations between documentary, history, memory, resiliency, and inspiration. Students will interview a Holocaust survivor and work together to create a short film about the survivor's experience.
